Benchakitti Park

Sorry for the delay in posting. School has been taking up a lot of my time, and the service I use to update this site went a little wonky. Everything is in order now, and here is the latest update.

Lumpini Park, where I do my nightly run, is hosting the Thai Red Cross Fundraising event all week, and the public has turned out in droves. The traffic in the neighborhood is insane. Luckily for me, I get around via the BTS Skytrain and can bypass sitting in traffic all night and day. Once the event is over, everything will get back to normal, meaning less traffic madness. I attended the Red Crostt event, and I'll follow up with another post tomorrow with more information and pictures.

Considering the madness at Lumpini, I took a run on what is known as the Green Mile. This Green Mile is an elevated skywalk and provides enough space for walkers, joggers, and cyclists. The Green Mile connects Lumpini Park and Benchakiti Park. I may have driven by Benchakitti Park on past trips, but until I ran there today, I hadn't realized how big the park is and just how beautiful the area is. I enjoyed my run at Benchakitti so well I ran 9 niles instead of my typical 4 miles. I guess I found a new spot.

Here are pics of the Green Mile and Benchakitti Parl

Take care all
